(1) Visit SDLA’s booth at ___________ vendor show taking place on June 17, 2021 at _______________ and submit requested information about such Entrant to earn an Entry;

(2)Visit SDLA’s Agency Product Event taking place on ______________ at _______________ and submit requested information about such Entrant to earn an Entry;

(3) Visit the Sweepstakes website located at [contest submission URL], submit requested information about such Entrant on the entry page, and upload a photograph or photographs of a project being built or completed where SDLA’s lighting products or fixtures are incorporated or installed (“Photo Submission”). Each Photo Submission containing a unique project will earn an Entry. Photo Submissions must be consistent with the Sweepstakes theme and may not contain material that is violent, pornographic, obscene, illegal, inappropriate, or racially or morally offensive. Photo Submissions that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible. Sponsor may collect a photograph’s metadata upon entry. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible; and/or

(4) Mail a self-addressed stamped envelope with Entrant’s first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code, and email address to “Summer o’ (f)LIGHTS” c/o LASD, 5625 Ruffin Road Suite 100, San Diego, California 92123.

Regardless of method of Entry, there is a limit of one (1) Entry per day per Entrant during the Sweepstakes Period. Entry by any method other than as set forth above is void. Any use of automated or programmed methods of effecting an Entry is prohibited. Odds of winning are determined by the total number of Entries and the total number of Entries is not capped. All Entries must be received before the expiration of the Sweepstakes Period. Non-compliant Entries will not be considered.

Sponsor reserves the right to remove and/or disqualify any Entry that it finds unlawful or in violation of these Official Sweepstakes Rules, in its sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, incomplete, inaccurate, invalid, unintelligible, garbled, delayed, or misdirected Entries, all of which will be void. Only Entries that fulfill the requirements in these Official Sweepstakes Rules are eligible to win the Sweepstakes.

By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees Sponsor shall own the Entries (including all copyrights thereto and all rights embodied therein) and that Sponsor and its designees may utilize the Entry in any form of media for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation or notification to Entrant, except as prohibited by applicable law.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:  On or about Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Sponsor or its designee will conduct a random drawing to select three (3) potential winners (“Winners”) from all valid Entries received.  Each Prize will be awarded upon verification by Sponsor that all Sweepstakes requirements have been met by the Entrant and potential Winner.

Potential Winners will be notified by Sponsor with a request for verification and additional instructions via the email address provided in the Entry.  Each potential Winner will have seventy-two (72) hours from the time Sponsor sends the notification email to accept the Prize awarded and to execute and return (i) an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability and Publicity (except where prohibited), (ii) an IRS Form W-9 (if applicable), and (iii) any other information requested for verification.  

Potential Winners who submitted a Photo Submission must be prepared to submit an original, unedited digital file of their photographic submission and to certify that potential Winner is the sole creator and copyright owner of the photograph submission.

If a potential Winner is found to be ineligible, is not in compliance with these Official Sweepstakes Rules, declines to accept the Prize, or does not comply with Sponsor’s instructions, the Prize may be forfeited, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, and Sponsor will conduct a random drawing to select an alternate Winner from among all remaining eligible Entrants.  Alternate Winners are subject to all requirements set forth in these Official Sweepstakes Rules.  Sponsor shall have no responsibility or obligation to any Winner who is unable or unavailable to accept or utilize a Prize.

PUBLICITY:  Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes Winner’s consent to Sponsor’s use of Winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without payment or consideration.

PRIZES:  Three (3) Winners will each receive one (1) $500 Southwest® gift card.  The Approximate Retail Value of each Prize is $500.00 USD.

Limit of one (1) Prize per household.  Each Winner must meet all eligibility requirements of these Official Sweepstakes Rules to receive a Prize.  All fees, federal, state, local, and other taxes on Prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winner.  Winners may only win one (1) Prize.  Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitution, transfer, conversion, or assignment of Prizes will be allowed, unless, at the discretion of Sponsor, a substitute Prize of comparable value is awarded because the advertised Prize is unavailable.  Prizes are not redeemable for cash and do not include insurance, personal expenses, incidental charges, gratuities, or any other items not specifically described in these Official Sweepstakes Rules.  If required by law, Sponsor will require payment from the Winners of taxes to be remitted to the appropriate taxing authorities.  Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the Prizes awarded.  Prizes are awarded “AS-IS” and Sponsor makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or any warranty concerning the appearance, safety, or performance of any Prize (or component thereof) awarded.

GENERAL:  Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all matters related to these Official Sweepstakes Rules and the selection of Winners.  The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. 

By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees (i) to be bound by these Official Sweepstakes Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, and (ii) to indemnify and hold Sponsor and Sponsor’s directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, and damages of any kind arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes and acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any Prize.

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes or any element thereof (including, without limitation, these Official Sweepstakes Rules) without notice in any manner and for any reason (including, without limitation, in the event of any unanticipated occurrence that is not fully addressed in these Official Sweepstakes Rules).  In the event of cancellation, modification, or suspension, Sponsor reserves the right to select Winners from among all eligible Entries received prior to the time of the event warranting such cancellation, modification, or suspension.  Notice of such cancellation, modification, or suspension will be posted on the Sweepstakes website.  Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Official Sweepstakes Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Sweepstakes.

Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Sweepstakes Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
